Burst Productions is an independent company that is dedicated to crafting impactful live theatre and supporting local artists.
Established in 2023 by Amy Wood, the company’s debut show NOT ALL MEN premiered at Adelaide Fringe 2024. Since then, Burst Productions has produced shows in Melbourne Fringe 2024 and Adelaide Fringe 2025.
Burst Productions prides itself on sharing and creating high-octane art that sheds light on societal issues and challenges social norms. The company’s work is pop-culture based and is crafted through years of real-life experiences and conversations.
Amy Wood - Founder/ Producer/ Artist
Amy Wood (2002, Adelaide) is a Naarm/Melbourne based artist whose work spans across acting, producing and writing.
Born in Adelaide, Amy trained at the Actors Studio in Adelaide and won the Adelaide Festival Fine Arts Award in 2019 for her “continual passion and dedication for the arts.” In 2021, she moved to Melbourne to study with the Howard Fine Acting studio.
In 2024, she founded Burst Productions to produce her debut play, NOT ALL MEN (Adelaide & Melbourne Fringe 2024). She has also co-produced Administration (Adelaide fringe 2025). In 2026, she undertook an artists residency with Clocktower Centre to work on her upcoming play, Going Through A Hard Time.
